From 2-11 June 2023, the SOCCA World Cup, the world championship in small-sided football, was helt Kennedyplatz in Essen. 40 national teams from 5 continents travelled to the city and competed in a stadium built especially for the event with a capacity of up to 3,000 spectators.
And what an event it was! Around 130,000 spectators visited the stadium over the entire tournament period, transforming it into an ecstatic place of celebration and friendship. An indescribable and unique experience that you can only really understand if you were there.
Vom 2. bis 11. Juni 2023 fand der SOCCA World Cup, die Weltmeisterschaft im Kleinfeldfußball, auf dem Kennedyplatz in Essen statt. 40 Nationalmannschaften aus 5 Kontinenten reisten in die Stadt und traten in einem eigens für die Veranstaltung gebauten Stadion mit einer Kapazität von bis zu 3.000 Zuschauern an.
Und was für ein Ereignis war das! Rund 130.000 Zuschauer besuchten das Stadion während der gesamten Turnierdauer und verwandelten es in einen ekstatischen Ort des Feierns und der Freundschaft. Ein unbeschreibliches und einzigartiges Erlebnis, das man nur wirklich verstehen kann, wenn man dabei war.
